Initiatives to provide basic facilities to Aam Aadmi

New Delhi: Our efforts at enhancing socio-economic development and improving standard of living of the people will start bearing fruit and soon, said Shri Beni Prasad Verma, Minister of Steel at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a Bridge at Kamauli Nala, Dariyabad, an Industrial Training Institute at Barabanki and two community centers in the same district.

According to the press release, appreciating the bridge construction job taken up by SAIL under its Corporate Social Responsibility Shri Verma said, this bridge will put an end to the daily commutation problems faced by the residents of the region and will improve connectivity in the area.

He also expressed happiness at the initiation of work for construction of two Community Centers at Rasoolpur Kala and Mau Gauzpur in Dariyabad Block of Barabanki.

Shri Verma also spoke at length about the Industrial Training Institute being set up at Barabanki and two others being set up at Jagdishpur and Gonda. The ITIs will train 100 -150 students each year in trades like Fitter, Welder, Electrician and Computer Hardware.

The Minister of Steel also announced setting up of Steel Processing Units at Hardoi, Jhansi, Mirzapur, Gonda, Barabanki and Lakhimpur Kheri.Besides, he also mentioned that if necessary mining clearances are received a steel plant would come up at Lalitpur. Shri Verma also lauded the efforts by steel PSUs for the revival of erstwhile Malvika Steel.

Speaking about the development efforts he said that the initiatives are in line with the governments’ philosophy of providing basic facilities to the Aam Aadmi and will go a long way in enabling Uttar Pradesh to become the best state of the country.

Also present on the occasion were chief executives of PSUs like SAIL, RINL, NMDC and MSTC. Other officers from the PSUs along with local representatives, youth and public at large were also present on the occasion.
