Greater Noida, Feb 2 (IANS) The newly introduced system of filing complaints via SMS and MMS by Greater Noida police to nab those violating traffic rules received a good response from the public, police said.

After the announcement of the scheme in Greater Noida Saturday, police Sunday received 11 complaints from the public with evidence by MMS.
Police Monday received 15 complaints, of which 6 MMS were from Meerut and 2 SMS from Noida, apprising police about the traffic violations and molestation cases. The complainants from Meerut sent evidence of traffic violations while they were travelling in Greater Noida.
"We have introduced a wrong traffic squad in the city. The squad is equipped with mobiles and cameras to snap the photos of any kind of rule breakers. We have linked our mobile number - 9999977100 - with our control room which will immediately flash the message to all the patrolling vehicles in the city," Superintendent of Police Greater Noida S.K. Verma said.
